..I remember when I spent late afternoons waiting for my mother Ida, that led the logistics of the company "Fratelli Amoretti", founded in 1955 by my father Guerino (Rino) and his brother Agide (Zio Gigi).
I think it was the first company specialized in food supplies for hotels and restaurants in Italy.
This was my land of conquest, waiting for my mum to finish work and be all mine. My favourite game was getting lost in warehouse's large spaces among the various types of goods all divided and stacked in manic order and keeping my eyes closed I tried to orient myself only with the sense of smell. "listening" to scents, because every corner, every shelf, had a smell of its own."

Born into art, Giovanni Amoretti, accompanied his father Guerino and his uncle Agide during their business trips providing food specialties to the most important Hotels of Italy. In 1975 he founds his own company named Alcamoretti and later he moves to Fidenza and expands it in 1998.
